GlassBlast is proud to have supplied the recycled glass for sandblasting at the closed Studebaker Plant in South Bend, Indiana. This large structure is being refurbished and will bring hundreds of jobs to the area. GlassBlast fine was chosen over garnet for finish and price. This use of glass for sandblasting was to remove the old lead paint that the plant was painted with. Removing paint by sandblasting is very economical and with 800,000 square feet to be sandblasted price and speed of removal was the reason GlassBlast fine was used.
